So I just finished the passport application process and the release form indicates that I’ll receive my passport on November 24.
My flight is on November 22. LOL.
This is why we shouldn’t book a flight until our passports are on our hands.
My bad. I booked my tickets without a passport. Now I’m scratching my head at my own foolishness.
But hey! I’m the luckiest foolish in the world 🙂
Cebu Pacific sent me an email saying that my flight schedule will have some minor changes. Original time of departure was 10:00 PM but the new schedule will be 11:40 PM.
Here’s the magical part:
If the new flight schedule does not work for you, you may also:
Rebook or reroute to an alternate airport up to 30 days from original flight schedule without charges.
I saw the light. *Wink*
- up to 30 days
- without charges
Can I be happier? 🙂
Here’s how I did it:
Visit Cebu Pacific Facebook Official Fan Page.
I sent them a message.
Hi. Good morning. I would like to rebook my flight. Can you help? Booking reference: ____. Thank you.
I waited for their reply which took less than an hour.
Hi! Upon checking, flight is indeed affected of schedule change. Given this, we may rebook the flight up to 30 days without any charges. For roundtrip flight, same number of days must be followed. Please advise exact flight details that will fit your schedule and please be reminded that our rebooking is subject to seat availability. You may refer to our website for the available flight schedule. Thank you!
I sent them the details including the original flight schedule and my preferred new flight schedule. I also attached the itinerary receipt (PDF format).
I waited for their reply which I got within the day.
Done as requested. Kindly check your e-mail for the updated itinerary receipt. Please review the flight details as well. Thanks!
I checked my email and there it was – my new itinerary with my desired new schedule. All is good! 🙂
Please don’t be like me. Only book tickets when you already have a passport to avoid wasted money. Cebu Pacific is probably going to kick me out of the plane if they found out my reason for the rebooking has nothing to do with the changes in their flight schedule. I love Cebu Pacific!!!
In the end, the situation is in favor of me. Although I miscalculated the timeframe for getting my passport, thanks to the ASEAN holidays, I’m happy that I was able to rebook. Looks like this is really meant for me 🙂
