Saint Anthony of Padua is the patron saint of lost and stolen articles. And a lot more. I think he is also the saint of barren women(?). Not sure but let me tell you my miracle story involving Saint Anthony of Padua.
Our family’s house was burned down and we lost 99% of our belongings including our school records, clothes, and family photos.
We’ve always felt bad about the family photos because there’s no way to reproduce them. We can work again and buy clothes again or request for duplicate copies of our school records but the photos are impossible to recreate. It meant lost memories for us.
I started a novena to Saint Anthony of Padua. Because I wasn’t sure what to ask for, I told him to return something that I’ve lost from that past. Anything. Surprise me.
My family visited our relatives in Cebu City. We stayed for one night at my aunt’s house. Guess what? In their family photo album, I found vintage photos.
A few copies of our family photos! As in! She has a copy of my and my siblings’ childhood photos. My aunt kept a copy of our family photo – dad, mom, me, sis, and bro 🙂
It was the best thing that happened in our family vacation in Cebu. God gave back something that is really precious to us. 🙂
Now we have childhood photos again. We’re so cute!
